August 12, 2010 - The Octopus...

Lam went to Cho Ray Hospital yesterday and said that Nhi is very quiet and sad. She has movement in her left side but none in her right.
Lam and Khanh visited the Doctor’s house again to see if they could get any information from him and to thank him for the operation.
Lam feels that the news isn’t the best. The Doctor said that Nhi may have more cancer in the brain even not having the results of the test yet.
During the operation, the Doctor saw that the tumor has octopus tentacles coming from it covering Nhi’s brain.
“Any how we should waiting for exactly result and we all hope that the doctor is wrong.”

From what I read on the Internet, this “octopus” like tentacles is known as Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM). GBM is the most common and most aggressive type of primary brain tumor in humans. For more information with GBM in kids can be found at Children’s Hospital Boston.

Here’s a video of Nhi that I taped back in 2008 while visiting. She and Bin (Bean) are playing a game of cards. Check out that smile….
